Thank you,, thank you, thank you to Susan, Melissa, Carloyn, and especially Katherine and Ace for the Valentine's offering! And so, infected as I am with a serious case of Camelotitis, and inspired by the promise of KKB soon to come, I have come up with another filk to add to our growing score. So, who wants to write the libretto?
[Araxie sings]
I loved you once in childhood,
But childhood had passed away,
Leaving us to seek a love together
Neither knowing whether
That love could stay.
You sought me in lonesome silence,
Your heart filled with dark despair,
Thinking pain would linger there forever,
And I'd never, never
Know the pain you bear.
[Kelson sings]
Then one day I cast away my painful longing.
My childhood friend I could depend would love me still.
The silence at last was broken;
We found love our hearts to fill;
Ev'ry joyous word of love was spoken;
And now there's twice the relief,
Twice the joy for us,
Twice the belief,
Twice the love for us
As we had known before.
[Both sing]
The silence at last was broken;
We found love our hearts to fill;
Ev'ry joyous word of love was spoken.
And after all has been said,
Here we are, my love,
To be wed now,
And not sure, my love,
What we should say, or how.
